The National Governing Body for Rowing

Responsible for the development, promotion and administration of rowing in Uganda — from grassroots participation to the international stage.

Uganda Rowing is the national governing body responsible for the development, promotion and administration of rowing in Uganda.

We work to expand access to rowing, develop athletes and coaches, strengthen clubs and institutions, organise competition and create pathways for Ugandan rowers to compete at regional, continental and international level.

Uganda has been represented in rowing at two consecutive Olympic Games, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024, while a new generation of athletes continues to emerge through junior, Beach Sprint and development programmes.

Our focus is not only on international performance, but on building the structures, people and opportunities required for rowing to grow sustainably across Uganda.

Our Vision

An Accessible, Competitive, Sustainable Sport

To develop rowing into an accessible, competitive and sustainable sport in Uganda, with athletes capable of succeeding at the highest levels of international competition.

Our Mission

Clear Pathways from Grassroots to the World
